Case I: Manufacturer of plastic pipes


The aim was to built up a factory in China in order to produce and sell plastic pipes in China.
Investment: € 1.5 million
We were mandated to consult the customer in the research and analysis process, organizing the site visits and to guide the customer through the negotiations with the Local Authorities (Phase 1 and 2). Furthermore, the mandate covered the development of a corporate strategy and feasibility study, as well as to look for suitable suppliers and buyers (Phase 3 and 4).
After we had finished Phase 1 and 2 we recommended the customer not to invest due to a lack of a benchmark product in the Chinese market and the high launching costs. Two years later a Chinese company invested in this company. Our customer is benefiting from the Chinese supplier as cooperation partner.
Conclusion: Our customer is currently gathering experience from the Chinese company in order to implement the action plan and invest in China. We are looking forward to working with our customer in the follow-up order!

 

 

Case II: Manufacturer of paper products


The aim was to built up a factory in China in order to produce and sell higher quality products than the Chinese competitors.
Investment: € 2.5 million
We were mandated to consult the customer in the research and analysis process, organizing the site and customer visits and to guide the customer through the negotiations with the Local Authorities (Phase 1 and 2). Furthermore, the mandate covered the development of a corporate strategy and feasibility study, as well as to look for suitable suppliers and buyers (Phase 3 and 4).
During our analysis we were even able to arrange a meeting and site visit with a Chinese competitor in order to evaluate the state of the art of the plant and machinery and to get an idea of the price/performance ratio. Due to our due diligence study the customer decided not to invest in China, because of the low cost production of their competitors and the fact that the quality of the raw material does not fit to the modern machines for the high end products.
Conclusion: The customer saved a lot of money, because of our proper work.

 

 

Case V: Transformation for state-owned enterprise


The aim was to consult the Chinese customer in strategies of reorganizing it's company and rehabilitating the finances.
We were mandated to point out possibilities in a case study on the given example of Germany. The strategy advisory contained management training.
We invited a delegation of our customer to Germany, organized workshops and meetings with German officers and CEO´s from top companies.
Conclusion: Our customer base is located in Europe and China. We are trying to connect, to consult and conducting our customers in both countries. Therefore, our work is also implies synergy effects on both sides.
